Alexi utilizes a combination of therapeutic approaches such as "walk and talk" therapy, narrative, expressive arts therapy, internal family systems, somatic experience, gender theory, and mindfulness techniques.
Alexi believes in adapting their approaches to be dependent of the client and their needs so more approaches may be used to better fit their clients.
Alexi does offer online video sessions to provider wider access to support and to take into account a variet of accessibiity needs.
Alexi's experience has been gained in private practice and in- patient psychiatric facility. He is an Associate Professional Counselor and has a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of North Georgia.
They also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Georgia.
Furthermore, he has taken additional classes like sexuality in counseling, intimate partner violence and sexual assault, and theories of addiction to further her knowledge and training to assist LGBTQ+ individuals, survivors of violence, and people suffering from addiction.
They are currently under the supervision of Megan Boyd, PhD, LPC, CPCS consistent with GA Rule 135.
Anxiety is one of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that many of us will experience at some point in our lives. Through professional counseling, you can learn to become more self-aware of your anxiety triggers, your anxiety’s voice/messages, and learn to manage your anxiety to better function in your day to day life. Alexi use a combination of approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, etc.
Alexi is a queer counselor who pulls from both personal and professional education in regard to issues relating to sexuality and the lgbtq+ community.
They have current experience helping others through identify development, gender dysphoria, non-binary expression/exploration and interpersonal relationship struggles.
These topics have motivated her to become a counselor and to specialize in LGBTQ+/sexuality counseling.

Many individuals can experience troubling symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger during or post traumatic events. Alexi can help you recreate your narrative and heal from your experience. You deserve to move forward and are not alone.
Grief can be experienced in many of ways from losing someone due to death, grieving relationships (i.e., friendships, romantic relationships, familial relationships, and pet-caregiver relationship) or grieving a change in your own identities/experiences (i.e., chronic pain diagnose, life transition, etc..). Alexi is able to support people in processing this grief and working with it as they take on life in a different way.
Alexi provides support with evaluating executive function skills, building self-compassion/understanding of the way your brain works, learning strategies to help move through this world, and learning skills to advocate for yourself.
-Individual Counseling for people 13 years & older
-Available to do online video/phone sessions for Georgia residents, and some in person sessions (i.e., Apraxis Center Marietta office or outdoor therapy)
-Sessions are 50 minute session unless different arrangements have been made with the counselor

Alexi's rate is $135 for a standard 50 minute session and sliding scale/equity pricing may be available. We use an equity model which encourages individuals to pay within their finacial needs as a way to strive towards equity of care and encourage collective care.
Alexi is self-pay provider or considered an out-of-network provider due to not being on insurance panels. Out- of- network converage vaires and is not guaranteed. Alexi is able to provide a superbill for clients to submit to insurance to see what coverage their plan m provide.
